In his talk, Fr. Marlon gave emphasis to the words “faith and transformation” which he elaborated as having a deeper relationship with God as he centered on the story of Job, a faithful who was well-acquainted with God's silence. Fr. Marlon continued to inspire the personnel by saying, “God answers prayers, but sometimes God is silent.”

Prompted to the situation, Rene A Japitana, JHS Principal, spearheaded the curriculum alignment last February 10, 2023. In his rationale, Mr. Japitana stated that, "We are holding this activity to align teaching strategies with learning outcomes and assessments. For obvious reasons, clear alignment helps students understand how various parts of the lessons fit together, which in turn helps them learn."

Life is short. And yet, it is all we have. For Michaelinians, today is perhaps the darkest day in these dark times. Our beloved former President Msgr. Ben took his last breath on January 11, leaving countless of us Kabayani to survive him in our memories while he journeys to a heavenly abode. Msgr. Ben was not just a President but he was even more because he stood as a father figure to all of us — loving, caring, generous, patient, and compassionate. I may sound verbose, but all the good things can be used to describe Msgr. Ben.

It was indeed a gloomy day for all Michaelinians as death has taken away a genuinely warm individual. Personnel queued at the convent's entrance to show their ardent love and respect to Msgr. Ben as his remains arrived late Wednesday afternoon and is put in place at Msgr. Gatela's Hall for his two-night funeral wake in the parish. Michaelinians offered prayers with Rev. Fr. Ronniel G. Babano. Msgr. Ben was the school president for 21 years.

SMCC surpassed the expected enrollment mark for the first semester of the school year amid pandemic as it has recorded 5,172 students as per official record of September 3, 2021 posting a 28% increase from last year's total population of 4,022. College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) has the highest number of enrollees of 1,158, almost double their population from last year's enrollment. CCJE is consistent of having the most number of enrollees for three consecutive years.
