SMCC invites partners to Stakeholders Day 2020

A s part of the launching of Roadmap 2035, the Stakeholders’ Day was held on February 20, 2020 at the Covered. The said event honored outstanding partners that supported the institution’s various initiatives and advocacy programs. During the program, personnel were also given citations and commendations for their outstanding performance and dedication to service.

Bishop of the Diocese of Butuan ‎Msgr. Cosme Damian Racines Almedilla led the presentation of awards to stakeholders and personnel. He was assisted by Msgr. Beinvinido A. Betaizar, School President and Diocese of Butuan Educational System (DBES) Superintendent Msgr. Porfirio C. Colon, Jr.

Exemplary partners in attendance were representatives from the Local Government Unit (LGU), Department of Education (DepEd) both from the Regional and Division offices, Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Also present were representatives from Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), East-West Bank, and BDO-ONB Bank. Stakeholders who were also counted came from Barangay Council members of the institution’s adopted barangays, PTA officers, Alumni Association officers, and Student Government officers.

Dr. Jun C. Villarmia, Dean of College of Criminal Justice Education, received a citation and a cash rewards for his department’s outstanding performance having produced Top 5 of the Criminology Licensure Examination last November 2019 in the person of Mr. Bryl Arriola.

The Culture and Arts spearheaded by its Cultural Director Dr. Pete Mosquito was cited for its national participation bringing TESAW, the institution’s official cultural and arts guild, to national exposure during the Sayaw Pinoy for two successive years. Sayaw Pinoy is the country’s flagship program of the National Committee on Dance where Dr. Mosquito is one of the organization’s directors.

At the same time, the Human Resource office cited personnel for their dedication and commitment as Kabayaning Michaelinians. It has accorded a Lifetime Award to Mrs. Luzminda B. Mallari, for her 45 years in the service. Also cited as bronze service awardees for 17 years as Kabayaning Michaelinians were Ms. Divina B. Compendio, Mr. Jovy K. Gomez, Mr. Edwin Balen, Mr. Rey Claveria, and Mr. Michael Maru.

“Recognizing and commending our personnel’s outstanding performance, dedication, and loyalty is an excellent way to build good relationships with them,” said Dr. Ian S. Tampan, Human Resource Officer as he further stressed that teachers and all institutional workers are frontliners of the institution, hence, they deserve to be acknowledged.
